Eucerin AtopiControl Hand Cream

Our hands are frequently in contact with water and cleaning products. Depending on the work we do, they may also be exposed to other chemicals. These factors can damage skin’s barrier and cause skin to dry out and become tight and rough and prone redness, scaling and itchiness.

Eucerin AtopiControl Hand Cream smooths and soothes skin. The quick-absorbing and non-greasy formula has a unique active ingredient complex of soothing Licochalcone A, anti-bacterial Decanediol and itch-relieving Methoxypropanediol (MPD). This complex, combined with a high concentration of Ceramides and Avena Sativa (Oatmeal), strengthens skin’s barrier, alleviates dryness and relieves the sensation of itchiness.

 The formula is fragrance -free. Though widely valued for its soothing properties, some people can be allergic to oatmeal.

With regular use, skin condition noticeably improves and skin feels smooth and supple even with frequent washing.

Very good care efficacy and skin tolerability proven on atopic skin

The results of a skincare efficacy study¹ prove that:

• Skin becomes more resilient, and skin condition improves, with regular use
• After only one week, skin moisture in the affected areas increased by 50%. After four weeks it increased by 95%.

The care products in the Eucerin AtopiControl range contain a unique active ingredient complex:

• Licochalcone: an extract of liquorice which soothes skin and reduces redness
• Ceramides: to strengthen skin’s barrier function

Atopic Dermatitis has two phases:

1. The acute phase when skin flares up
2. The period between flare-ups when skin is calmer and less reactive

In addition to these actives, acute-care-cream also contains Menthoxypropandiol and Decanediol to calm and soothe skin during a flare-up. A derivative of menthol, Menthoxypropandiol cools skin and works at a sensory level to reduce feelings of itchiness. Anti-bacterial Decanediol combats the Stapphylococcus aureus bacteria associated with Atopic Dermatitis.
